Certification was designed by AACVPR to help establish a standardized
criteria by which cardiac and pulmonary programs could be evaluated.
Certification by AACVPR is to provide the highest quality of patient care.
The goal of program certification and recertification is to assure that programs are meeting the essential standards of care
described in the 4th Edition Guidelines for Cardiac Rehabilitation and Secondary Prevention Programs.
